A tale of two trees.

Two trees grew together

Side by side

For hundred years

Maybe more

Two trees

With branches entwined

Rustled together

In the wind

The birds perched upon them

Sang tales of history

The trees recited

Till one day, a group of men came

And a wall was built between them

Their nations, divided

But, they held each other

With branches strong

Till it was decided

A fence will be built along

And while one was just trimmed

The other, uprooted

One tree grew now

Sadly, waiting for it’s demise

Till came monsoons

And a sapling grew, surprise

Two trees grow now

Years later

The meaningless wall tried to divide them

Their roots are still interweaved together.
