Eloping Agony

In a world just painted blue
Old stories but,the wounds are new
And half breaths of life only flow
Rest was buried long ago
The face is beneath the masks
That laugh, care, wonder and fear
Yet, none of them cries
Or the make-up will disappear

Wheels turning, spokes cutting through
Learn what’s not meant to be, will never happen to you
Accept that you are bound by invisible chains
In a world that tells you, you are a free bird; no restraints
Chains that cut, twist and break you down
And what goes around, never comes around

Last resort that you claim
To drown in deep waters, to run away
to go to places, it won’t hurt you
slowly, the roots will pull you
underneath the wet soil where sleep comes at last
where there’s peace, no memory of past.
